What's up for 2006/2007?

alendar of training for the upcoming sessions of the Building Maintenance and Repair training program are as follows.

Intake sessions are held on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.; however, be aware that in most cases the funding agencies have a two-week to six-week processing and assessment period for most applications for training.

Note: Keep the following dates in mind, and give yourself at least six weeks before the start date to allow time for your request for training to be processed.

Toronto Social Services - Ontario Works Program

  • 16-week skills training program with Ontario Works clients
  • Skills Training Leading Directly to Employment now includes a four-week unpaid work experience placement and up to sixteen-weeks of Employment Placement services
Ontario Disability Support Program
  • Employment Supports - 16-week skills training program
  • Job coaching supports
Human Resources & Skills Development Canada
  • Skills Development (training) for those receiving Employment Insurance benefits now or have received EI benefits in the past three years or, up to five years for those who received maternity or parental benefits
  • HRSDC may provide financial assistance to cover the cost of training, provide a training allowance while in training or extend your EI benefits for the duration of the training program. Visit the HRSDC site for more details
